Caring for your new mattress and bed
WHEN YOU RECEIVE YOUR NEW MATTRESS
Our Delivery Team will unwrap your mattress straight away and place it on your bed. Sometimes there can be a chemical smell that is given off when new. This is due to the fire retardancy spray which is required by law and should disappear after the mattress has been aired for a day.
TURNING AND ROTATING YOUR MATTRESS
All mattresses are required to be turned and rotated unless the manufacturer advises otherwise. If your mattress only needs to be rotated (head to foot) this should be done every week for the first 2 months, then every month after that. This is the same when turning and rotating a mattress as it helps with the fillings to settle more evenly.
JUMPING
Jumping on a mattress is a no no. To help the mattress last longer do not sit on the edge for long periods in the same area. This can put strain on the mattress and cause it to loose shape and support sooner.
CLEANING YOUR MATTRESS
You can vacuum the mattress and base from time to time to help remove a build up of dust. This will help keep your mattress fresher and can be done as often as required, but once or twice a year will be fine.
Ottoman Care
Periodically check all bolts and tighten if required. Lubricate the struts on a regular basis.
Deliveries are carried out by our own experienced team, with a traditional service where items are not just left on your doorstep.
